Our World Book subscription allows us to give CCA students and families access to this valuable reference source at their home computers 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. We are providing this service to you at no charge! (We are paying the full subscription fee, which is a $49.95 value for each family.)

3. SCHOOL PICTURES.
K-8th Grade Picture Day is on Thursday, September 16th. Picture Order Forms will be sent home with the K-8 students. High School Students needing to make-up or retake their pictures can do as well.  Please include payment made out to GCS PHOTOGRAPHY.

4. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Lori Rust is our Box Tops for Education CCA coordinator again this year. Through Box Tops for Education, Lori raised approximately $200 for our school. This money went towards K-8 playground equipment. Please continue to collect the Box Tops certificates throughout the summer and we will collect them again at the beginning of the school year. 5. ORCHESTRA PROGRAM INFORMATION (5th-12th grades).
We are very excited for the Orchestra program in the up coming school year. We had great achievements last year and we look forward to lots of good music-making this year! The grades that will be taking orchestra class in the 2010-2011 school year:
     - 5th grade One semester
     - 6th,7th,8th grade Entire school year
     - High School elective Entire school year

6. AFTER-SCHOOL CCA DANCE PROGRAM (7th-12th grade).
CCA is offering an after-school dance program for 7th through 12th grade students. Ballet is the foundation to all dance technique. The focus of the CCA Dance will be ballet structured after the Vaganova technique. After the first semester of ballet, students will master basic ballet vocabulary, the five positions, and jumps and turn sequences which will carry on into other forms of dance. Additional techniques that will be integrated the semester: lyrical jazz and modern. During the last portion of class students will rehearse for the upcoming performances.
