Kindergarten
Mrs. Kinsey has longed to be a teacher ever since
she was in elementary school. When she was young,
she loved to play school with her friends. Looking
back over the years, she can see clearly how God
has paved the way for her to teach. Her father,
Karl Hembree, started working at Point Loma Nazarene
University over fifteen years ago, and because
of this blessed job sent from God she was able
to attend PLNU for free!!! This was a tremendous blessing
for Mrs. Kinsey and her family. Mrs. Kinsey graduated from PLNU in the spring of 1999
and received her credential the following year.
The first semester of student teaching she taught
third grade, and for the second semester she taught
a fourth and fifth grade combination class. After
receiving her credential, she was a substitute
teacher for the South Bay School District and Chula
Vista School District where she taught kindergarten
through sixth. After two years of substituting,
she earnestly prayed for God to open another door
for her in the education field. Weeks later a job
opened up for her at Chula Vista Christian School.
She heard about that position from Mrs. Gonzales,
a preschool teacher on the school site. Mrs. Kinsey taught diligently at CVCS for two years. Now God
has called her to teach at Calvary Christian Academy as
a kindergarten teacher to teach with excellence
and to be
a light shining on a hill for others to see. |

1st Grade Aide
Cecilia Delgado moved to Chula Vista from Tucson Arizona in 2005 with her husband Cruz. They have no children but are blessed with the Calvary San Diego fourth grade Sunday school kids where Cecilia and Cruz both serve. Cecilia came to work at CCA after working for Bank of America for many years as a teller operations manager. She always felt that serving Jesus’ little children was where He was calling her to be. So she left the bank, came to CCA and is blessed to work with other believers and first graders (first graders rock). She is also the cheer coach for the Little Knights. Her husband attended Calvary Tucson and she saw how happy her husband saw life; so she wanted some of that too. She started going to church with him. After 6 months of going to church, she got baptized and the very next morning on June 6, 2003 she met Jesus in a real way and has not been the same since. In Cecilia's relationship with the Lord, she has Martha's heart to serve but loves being at the Lord’s feet. She loves CCA; to her its not a job but a ministry; she just happens to get paid for it. She is planning on finishing college so someday she could teach but for now she is content with what the Lord has gifted her, her salvation, Godly husband, a family of believers and the best job in the world working here at CCA, and again, FIRST GRADERS ROCK! |

Cely Quidang accepted Jesus as her Savior in September of 1993 and she considers that to be the greatest day of her life, he bought her, changed her, and has been the Lord of her life ever since that glorious day. She is married and has two wonderful boys. Regardless of where she is her message is; to know Christ and to make Him known."
Before coming to CCA she worked outside the home for 17 years in the Human Resource department and the Lord used that as a ministry. Her desire was always of being a stay at home mom to be more available to her beautiful family. The Lord called her to take a step of faith and become a stay home mom in 2005. She knew God had called her to serve Him and she always knew there was such a need for our children/youth to learn how to compete in life. Her vision recognizes that she is to compete to win souls over to Jesus Christ. It is imperative for her to stand in the gap and equip the children/youth with the knowledge of the Word of God and to bring light wherever there is darkness by reaching out to children.
Her goal is to be dedicated to reaching children/youth through Christ, to teach them how to compete and win through Christ in the game of life.

5th and 6th Grade Aide
Ana started out as an assistant to Kinder while in the 6th grade. Here is where
the desire to become a teacher started. Ana found working with children rewarding
and realized what a great blessing it was to be able to help children learn.
She knew that God had given her a gift of being observant and perceiving what
a child needed or lacked, so Ana decided that working with children is where
she wanted to be. After graduating from college with an AS. in Child Development,
Ana worked for 29 years thru-out the South Bay and San Diego county as a Pre-school
Teacher, a Pre-school Special Needs Teacher, a school-age after-school Supervision
and finally a Pre-school Asst. Director. Just this past year, God called Ana
into a new challenge, working with older children. When an opportunity at C.C.A.
opened up Ana applied for a position as an aide for 5th thru 12th and was delighted
when God chose Ana to assist with the 5th and 6th graders. Ana loves working
with these children and looks forward to more new challenges in the future. |
