Why Choose Calvary Christian Academy?

As one of the leading private schools in Chula Vista, Calvary Christian Academy offers a comprehensive program balanced in college preparatory academics, competitive athletics, compelling arts and a Christ-centered environment.  Students from preschool through 12th grade learn in a safe, engaging and caring community where class sizes are small and personal relationships with teachers and staff thrive.  Students benefit from this total educational experience that includes opportunities to serve around the world and prepares them to excel in life and learning beyond graduation.

A Christ Centered Foundation

Calvary Christian Academy exists to help prepare children to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. CCA will honor God by instilling a desire for and love of Christ in each student so he/she will want to exemplify Him in all areas of life.

Servant leadership is exemplified by the staff and practiced by the students at CCA. Staff members serve the student body as stewards of Christ in many areas such as coaching sports, academic tutoring, and student counsel. CCA students are given the opportunity to serve each other, the staff, and the community at large. As part of servant leadership and academic excellence, CCA students are encouraged to become fluent Spanish speakers and are offered Spanish instruction Pre-K through 12th grade.

Student in Class

Academics

At Calvary Christian Academy, students have the opportunity to explore and develop their passions in and out of the classroom. While CCA offers a broad range of rigorous academic courses, students also participate in a rich student life that encourages fun, leadership, and a dedication to serving others.  Through their involvement in community service, class retreats, and class projects, students forge lifelong friendships and integrate a growing spiritual life into everyday actions.

Athletics

At Calvary Christian Academy (CCA), our desire is to build the physical skills, encourage the spiritual lives, and develop the character of our students through a competitive athletic program administered in a Christ-centered environment.

Athletics are an important part of Calvary. CCA High School students compete in CIF sanctioned sports including Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Wrestling, Soccer, Swimming, Track & Field, Baseball and Softball. We also offer a championship Cheer program.  Our goal is to compete at the best of our abilities with integrity, as our athletes represent our school, and they are to strive to honor God on and off the field.

Our Middle School athletes also compete in Volleyball, Flag Football, Basketball, and Soccer during the school year.

Music

Music

The Music Department at Calvary Christian Academy is thriving with students who are developing a passion for glorifying God through the gift of music. Students are taught the beauty behind the emotion music creates. Dedication and attention to detail helps students in all aspects of life.  It is scientifically proven that children who play an instrument will do better academicaly. The orchestra program at CCA is beneficial and gives students something they can be passionate about.

Mission Trip

Missions

We are passionate about exposing our students to servant-leadership both in their communities as well as internationally. Every year, we provide affordable opportunities for our students to travel the world whether it be for missions or leadership training. Some of our past teams have gone to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Israel, London, and more! We can't wait to see where God takes our students next!
